Mr. Right meme

I saw this fun meme on Susie's site today http://susie-sspace.blogspot.com/. Since I love my guy so much, I thought I'd keep writing about him.

MR. RIGHT

His age: 46 years young.

How tall is he? 6’

How long have you been together (married)? It will be nine years this June 20th. (our daughter was born on our first anniversary!)

How long did you know each other before you got together? We went from introduction to marriage in 6 months.

What physical features attracted you to him first? I first saw him in a picture, he looked clean cut and kind. When I first saw him in person he had a ponytail (I couldn't see that in the picture) and a full beard. He was looking a little bit like a biker dude. If I hadn't known what kind of vehicle he was driving, I would not have recognized him.

Eye color: Blue

Hair color: Brown

How did you meet? Long story short: Through a dating service.

How serious is it? Very!!

Are you "in love"? Head over heels and common every day in love!

Do your parents like him? Yes, they do.

Do his parents like you? I do believe so.

Do you trust him? Without question.

Would you share a toothbrush with him? It is not my preference to share toothbrushes with anyone, but if it meant not brushing if I didn't, then of course.

Would he let you wear his pants? At this point in life I couldn't, but he would let me try. ;)

Does he smoke or do drugs? In his past, but that was before "us".

Do you have a shirt of his that you sleep in? Nope.

Do you like the way he smells? Depends on the time and day. He is an automechanic and he can be very pungent at times (when I was pregnant with our two little girls, I LOVED the smell he brought home from the shop - but not so much any more). He showers before bed, so that is my favorite time. I love the clean, soap smell on him.

Can you picture having kids with him? Been there, done that. So glad we did!

What bothers you the most about him? Hmm... when he doesn't answer when you ask a question. He is a ponderer, but doesn't always acknowledge that he has heard you, so you wonder if he did and/or if he will ever answer. He usually does, so I have learned patience through this (most days). When I have PMS I can not stand to have him eat chips near me when it is quiet. His jaw pops, so add that to the crunch of each chew and I get very jittery inside. We just laugh at me and that quirkyness.

Does he have a temper? Yes, but it takes a great deal for him to show it.

Are you happy to be with him? Happy, content, blessed, and thankful!

Does he embarrass you in public? No

Does he have any piercings? He does have a pierced ear, but no longer wears an ear ring. His decision.

Does he have any scars that you know of? Too many to count. The newest one happened last month. The hood of a car fell on his head while he was working on it and cut him to the skull. Lovely. It is healing nicely and curves with his hair line.

Is he a party dude or stay at home? He partied enough in his youth and before our time that he doesn't have the desire anymore. He is an alcoholic who has remained sober for about 20 years now. He is a family man and is usually at home unless working, on business or helping someone else out.

Is he outgoing or shy? He prefers "reserved."

Does he love his mama? Yes, he does!

Would he hang out with you and your friends? Absolutely. Most of our friends are mutual anyway, but if I have met someone new, he is always glad to get to know them.

Sing? He can, I love when he does, but being shy - I mean reserved, prevents him from freely sharing this. I just patiently wait until I happen upon him singing and quietly soak up the moment.

** I love him more each passing day. I appreciate him so much. I am very blessed to be his wife and to have him as the father of my children. He became "Dad" to my first two children when they were 5 and 8. He became Daddy to our last two in the first two years of our marriage. He became "Uncle Dad" to my nephew the third year of our marriage when he moved in with us full time at age 12 (he is now 17). He has been surrogate Dad to friends of our kids and the willing holder of all young children. He is my favorite person ever, my love, my best friend. I look forward to growing old with him and all the joys we will share on the journey.

Hi Pam,
so glad you did this. I enjoyed getting to know him a bit more through you.
My Dad was (and is) an auto mechanic and I know just the smell. I worked in the shop with him for years, so I probably wore it myself LOL!
Your guy sounds terrific and you're blessed to have each other...

Hi!

The blog background change was a lot of trial and error! *LOL*

First, I saved the background tile and uploaded it to Photobucket. Then I chose the Ms. Moto template because I noticed that it had a layered look to it. I clicked on the edit html button. I looked through the html, and noticed that there were places that had http addresses. I changed those to the http address of the image I had saved on Photobucket, and voila! It worked! To say I am incredibly excited to have learned this would be an understatement! *LOL*

Hope that helped! :o)
